U15 Kent outdoor 8’s softball tournament.
On Tuesday 21st June the U15s travelled to K Sports to compete in the Kent outdoor softball tournament.
It was a hot and sunny day, a perfect day for cricket.
SVS played Townley Grammar School first and scored 34 for 1. Townley then balled and were 23 for 4. A win for SVS.
Next saw us play Hundred of Hoo Academy. We bowled first n this game and kept them to 27 for 0. SVS replied with an outstanding 61 for only 1 wicket. SVS won this game.
SVS’s final game was against a strong Wathamstow Hall side. SVS batted first and managed a respectable 43 for 1. With some tight bowling to start from Florence, we kept them needing a high run rate. Unfortunately, they ran away with it and finished on 53 for 2. A very enjoyable and close game.
Well played to all the girls on such a hot day. They should all be proud of their efforts and performance.
