It was with heavy hearts that we left the hotel that had been home for the past week in Cape Town, but we were excited to move on to the next phase of our tour, and headed down to Hout Bay to meet more of the Cape Fur Seals.

The boat trip out to Duiker Island proved to be more bumpy than anticipated owing to the swell in the Atlantic, and it quickly became apparent that the choice of seat was all important as the spray came over the boat. It was fascinating to see the seals in their natural habitat and the boys all took the chance to take some great photos.

We then moved on after a quick pit stop to our third game against Bridge House School in the heart of the winelands. After winning the toss we elected to bat first, but quickly fell to 17-4, the boys apparently not quite getting over their seal encounter.

However, some solid defence and stroke play from Jack Dyas and Fred Mundell (both reaching scores of 40+) meant we posted a respectable score of 121-7 from our 20 overs.

After a short break we took the field ready to defend the score, and some tight bowling from Tom Dyas and Harry Demarne quickly had the opposition in trouble at 17-6. From this point they never had the chance to recover, finally ending on a score of 82 all out and bringing our first win of the tour.
